[COLLOQUIUM] Dynamical behaviors of nonlinear wave equation in inhomogeneous media

In this talk, we consider the nonlinear wave equation in inhomogeneous media, which is modeled by the variable coefficient wave equation. By taking the periodic solutions as a breakthrough, we study the dynamical complexity of its solutions and the essentially different dynamical behaviors for the spatially inhomogeneous wave equation.

       冀书关教授简介：东北师范大学教授、博士生导师，数学与统计学院院长，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者，国家优秀青年科学基金获得者，教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划入选者和吉林省有突出贡献的中青年专业技术人才（省政府津贴专家）。主要从事微分方程与动力系统研究，于《Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal.》、《SIAM J. Appl. Math.》和《J. Differential Equations》等学术刊物发表论文50余篇，主持国家自然科学基金和国家重点研发计划课题等项目10余项，获得全国百篇优秀博士学位论文提名奖、吉林省科技进步一等奖和吉林省青年科技奖等多项奖励和荣誉。
