Under suitable assumptions on diffusion and drift term the nonlinear Fokker-Planck equation $$u_t - \Delta\beta(u) + div (D(x)b(u) u)=0;  u(0)=u_0$$ has a unique mild and distributional solution. This implies the uniqueness of probabilistically weak solutions to corresponding McKean-Vlasov equations. This is a joint research with M.Roeckner from Bielefeld University.

Viorel Barbu教授,欧洲科学院院士,罗马尼亚科学院院士,"Al. I. Cuza" 大学教授,曾任罗马尼亚科学院副主席,获罗马尼亚科学院Simion Stoilow奖。主要从事偏微分方程,无穷维随机分析,控制理论等研究。
